Bishop Neil Tiedemann was born in Brooklyn NY and raised on Long Island. He was ordained in 1975 at our Immaculate Conception Monastery in Jamaica, NY. Since his ordination, Bishop Neil has primarily served in Hispanic Ministry at parishes in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. In 1987 he was one of a group of Passionists who began our ministries in Honduras, Central America. In 2006 while he was living at our hospice Casa Pasionista, and serving the Church in Honduras, he was elected Provincial Consultor. On May 20, 2008 he was appointed Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica.
