The Congregation of the Passion founded by St. Paul of the Cross has always been a missionary community, reaching out across nations and across the globe to assist in the spread of the Gospel. The Passionists of the United States serve around the world, and we currently sponsor and staff missions in three foreign countries: Haiti, Honduras and Jamaica. In addition, we support men in missionary work in Kenya and the Philippines as well as other missions sponsored by our congregation in Asia and Africa.
We are aware that the Passion of Christ continues in this world until He comes in glory; therefore, we share in the joys and sorrows of our contemporaries as we journey through life toward our Father. We wish to share in the distress of all, especially those who are poor and neglected; we seek to offer them comfort and to relieve the burden of their sorrow.
