In the Central American country of Honduras, St. Benedict’s Clinic in Tegucigalpa serves more than 45,000 women, men and children a year bringing the most modern and efficient medical treatment to poor families in the nation’s capital, a sprawling city of millions.
The Comedor Infantil Pasionista lunch program runs five days a week serving food to children aged 2 to 9 years old, of Nuevo San Diego, one of the poorest communities in Talanga.
Casa Pasionista was founded in 1990 by three Passionist priest missionaries whose vision in establishing this hospice was to provide shelter and food for those dying from HIV and AIDS. The objective was to provide dignity and care in living and dying. Casa Pasionista provides regular medical care, food, and shelter to the patients who live there.
The Water Project for Majada will provide safe drinking water for 162 houses and the Latrine Project in Rincon Grande will provide basic sanitation for 203 residents.
