I dropped out of high school during World War II and enlisted in the navy, where I served in the North Atlantic and South Pacific as a gunner on a merchant ship carrying supplies to our troops overseas. After my discharge I worked on a truck delivering furniture, but when the economy tanked I lost my job and was forced back to school, which was paid for by the GI Bill. I completed my high school requirements and went on to Pace College to earn a degree in business administration. From there I worked for an accounting firm and in the corporate world for ten years.
During a retreat at the Passionist Retreat House in West Hartford, CT, I felt a call to religious life and entered the Passionists. I was ordained in 1967 and took graduate studies, obtaining a Masters Degree in Human Development.
Since ordination I have conducted retreats and parish missions throughout the United States. I’m still asked to preach God’s Word, even in my late seventies.
I live at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, CT. You can find my books and tapes at www.crossplace.com
