Fr Rick,
Know that you and your mom and all the people of Haiti are in my prayers. I’m so grateful that you made it back there to take care of your children. When I saw you on TV for some reason I felt relieved for everyone needing your love and care. I’m a former Bishop Molloy Retreat House employee and I remember when you came up with a number of your workers — I pray that they are all made it through.

May God clear the path for you to minister to the people, physically and spiritually. The response of love and compassion from around the world for the people of Haiti speaks strongly of Jesus prayer to His Father…”that they all may be one ; as you Father, are in me, and I in you, that they all may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me ” (John17:20-21). In the face of such suffering and death there is the presence of Resurrection…we should all be able to say in truth…”I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

My brother Fr. Ed Moran , Pittsburgh house… sent me the e-mail with the devastating news re. Haiti that you are so closely attached……GOD bless you…..prayers for your dear mom..she sounds like quite a lady…….I have forwarded the news from this site and the address for donations to many dear friends and family……PLEASE know we will continue to pray and be a part of this site with your updates…Peggy Connelly , N.J.

It is a tradgedy hard to understand but God who always brings good out of evil knows. We pray that your faith in a God who is Loving and Caring will strengthen you, Fr.
