. . . when you experience some desire arise, or anything that gives an impulse to your heart, giving you a desire to do something that at the time is not in your power, you must allow that to die in the Holy Will of God. In short, when you become aware that your heart has lost something of that peace which comes when the soul has a lively faith in the divine presence, quietly look for the cause and, discovering that it comes from worries about the house or children and that there is no remedy at hand, immediately plunge yourself in God with a holy, loving rest.
