In one of his letters Paul the Apostle said. ’By God’s grace I am what I am.’ As we read in today’s Scripture Paul claimed that whatever competency he has comes from God not from his own natural competency. Paul knew he was on the receiving end of God’s grace, as are we; a gifted people. Paul asked the people, ‘What have you that you have not received and if you have received it why do you boast on as if you had not received it?’
We are gifted with health or the patience to accept our limitations. We are gifted with sight, hearing and mobility. We are gifted with our own personal talents, our own personalities, our own limitations. By God’s grace we are who we are.
Can we always be thankful?
