Preaching

Passionists have always been a missionary community and minister by means old and new, to include in-person preaching, facilitated spiritual retreats, parishes, study and research, and mass media like television and online platforms.

As with our founder, St. Paul of the Cross, we keep alive the memory of the love of Jesus, who was crucified, died and rose again. In a world often searching for meaning, freedom and human dignity, His message is needed today more than ever.

Retreat Centers

The founder of the Passionists, St. Paul of the Cross, asked that rooms be left open in monasteries for lay people to come and join in pursuit of holiness for a short period of time.  This practice led to the development of Passionist Retreat Centers throughout the world.

Passionist retreats uniquely create a space and time apart from daily demands and concerns. They can help today’s Christian answer the insistent spiritual urgings of the human heart, longings that can only be authentically fulfilled by God’s loving presence.

While the pandemic has altered how we utilize our retreat centers, we are creatively engaging people with virtual retreats as well as anticipating an opening up of our Centers for in person retreats:
