Fr. Hugo R. Esparza-Perez, C.P.

4th Consultor

Hugo R. Esparza-Perez, C.P. was born in Morelos, Mexico in 1979 and grew up in Northern California. He was raised by a family of 3 precious women, his mother and two sisters. Fr. Hugo has been a Religious of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ since 2004, and was ordained a priest in 2011. He now has a bigger family that keeps inspiring him throughout the USA, Chiapas, Mexico (where he worked from 2012-2016), and, now, in Haiti, where he is currently working as the founder of Sant Pastoral Pasyonis (www.spphaiti.com) since 2017. Through relationship building with neighbors, he and the members of his community began helping people improve the quality of their homes by sharing building materials with them. Fr. Hugo began to address the needs of the sick in the community at the same time. Through this work other needs were addressed such as the lack of toilets or latrines, easy access to water and the fact that the majority of children are not being educated due to the lack of money. This prompted Father to open a physical space for the community in order to carry out his initiatives. Some of these are listed below:

Little Stones Program

This is a space for children to grow into healthy adults through religious and human formation.

Konbit Pierre Toussaint

They seek to develop the leadership of Haitian Youth through service of the most vulnerable.

Jenerasyon Laudato Si

Through advocacy, education, action and prayer the local youths seek to develop a sensitivity to their rightful place and dynamic with the rest of creation.

Direct Assistance

They provide: a) financial help to the sick who cannot afford care or medicine; b) financial help for children that cannot afford to continue in school; c): food twice a month for vulnerable families from our area (Pi Pre Fanmi).
