Thomas Berry Place Campaign Goes Public After Exceeding $2.5 Million Initial Goal!

October 14th, 2021 by Joseph Geraci

THE DREAM OF GOD..........THE DREAM OF ST. PAUL OF THE CROSS..........THE DREAM OF THE EARTH

The Passionists held a reception at the soon to be opened Thomas Berry Place, formerly Bishop Molloy Retreat House on Oct. 7th, 2021 to announce the public phase of the Capital Campaign to renovate the building. Blessedly, the original $1.5 million goal was increased to $2.5 million to meet the ever growing cost overruns of renovating a nearly 100 year old building to meet codes and create the environmentally conscious building dedicated to Fr. Thomas Berry. Since starting this campaign in the late summer/early fall of 2020, we have met and surpassed our goal of $2.5 million and are currently and thankfully at just over $2.9 million!  We have once again increased our goal to $4 million to be reached by spring 2022 when we reopen. The totals have come from outright gifts, multiple year pledges and legacy/planned gifts. Thank you to ALL who have given so far to all who have yet to make a gift. Please help make this dream a reality--a place where holy and peaceful retreats will return, where mission-related partners will be assimilated and part of the life of our home and where all, including and especially, the marginalized will be welcomed and stood with in their needs.
